Louise Wasson

My new life started July 18,1994. I was at a party and we were watching TV and the game when it was switched to O.J. and his bronco chase. I left the party and drove home. I was going through an intersection and a Drunk driver ran a red light and I was in a coma for 67 days...

I use to work for the IRS and I had been a Revenue Officer. I can't say I'm sorry I can't work there anymore! Lucky I worked for the government and I had insurance. The man that hit me it was his 4th DWI and he was driving without insurance and had nothing. What really gets me is he is on the streets driving today and I cannot. I have been in hospitals and Rehabs and therapy for these last four years, and I know more then anyone about my head injury.

The thing that keeps me going is there are other people out there that maybe I can help get through this.

I'm going back to school and doing what I want(Art) so you have to focus on the good things that happen. I am a member of RID and I give talks to people that get DWI's and show them what can happen when you drink and drive.
